Meeting Purpose To discuss recent organizational and functional changes within PSE&G pertaining to the QA programs at Hope Creek and Salem.

CS.Yib1mary of Discussions The licensee presented the new QA organizations. Charts showing the revised QA 9rganizations are attached. This reorganization accomplished the following:

1.

Resulted in separate QA organizations for Engineering/Construction (Hope Creek) and Operations (Salem).

The QA managers will report to the Vice

  • Presidents responsible for the respective projects.
2.

Both QA organizations will be onsite as compared to the previous organi-zational *setup where upper QA management was in Newark.

3.

Sets up a new staff organization under R. Mittl (Nuclear Assurance and*

Regulation) to oversee QA and nuclear safety.

In addition, the following items were discussed for the three new organizations (QA-Engineering and Construction, Nuclear Assurance and Regulation and QA-Oper-ations):

1.

Organizational charter and how they expected to function.

2.

Manpower levels; experience and backgrounds including selected individual assignments.

3.

Schedules for having the new orgariizati.ons in place and foncti.onal.

4.

Transition from tne old to new o.rgani.zattons.
