October 7, 1982 NPDES Permit No. NJ0005622 Salem Generating Station Explanation of exclusions September, 1982 The following exclusions are included in the attached report and explained below. Exclusions have not endangered nor significantly impacted health or the environment.

DMR NO. EXPLANATION 481 Total Suspended Solids - Correlation of influent and effluent analytical results indicates sampling technique or systematic flow related problems.

Continued net discharge of this magnitude is not feasible. Installation of an improved sampling system is in progress.

484 Total Suspended Solids - Correlation of influent and effluent analytical results indicates sampling technique or systematic flow related problems.

Continued net discharge of this magnitude is not feasible. Installation of an improved sampling system is in progress.

Effluent Temperature Differential -

Less than the design number of Circulators in operation.

485 Total Suspended Solids - Correlation of influent and effluent analytical results indicates sampling technique or systematic flow related problems.
