REQUEST FOR AMENDMENT FACILITY OPERATING LICENSES DPR-70 & DPR-75 SALEM GENERATING STATION UNIT NOS. l AND 2 DOCKET NO. 50-272 AND 50-311 In accordance with the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, and the regulations thereunder, PSE&G hereby transmits its requests for Amendment to Facility Operating License DPR-70 for Salem Generating Station, Unit No. 1 and DPR-75 for Salem Generating Station, Unit No. 2.

This request consists of four separate license changes; three changes relate to Unit No. 2 and involve Inservice Inspection of Snubbers (LCR 82-17), cancellation of a license condition requiring Stearn Generator Inspection Ports (LCR 82-20) and deferral of a surveillance requirement to inspect Containment Ventilation Valves.

The fourth Amendment request relates to Unit No. 1 and requires an expedited evaluation by NRC staff reviewers.

This request involves deferral of surveillance functional testing on two reactor trip channels for a period of eight days and two days respectively.

These changes each are deemed to not involve a significant hazards consideration (Class III type) and are incorporated as one Class I~ Amendment as defined in 10CFR170.22.
