Our response to your item of concern identified in your letter is as follows:

Item of Concern:

Our statement in the letter to the Director, NRC Region I dated July 7, 1980, that procedural changes pertaining to performing and documenting daily reviews for anomalous gaseous releases had been completed was inaccurate, raising the concern that management controls were not sufficient to assure the accuracy of statements made.

Reply to Item of Concern:

The procedural changes pertaining to performance and documenting daily reviews for anomalous gaseous releases had not been accom-plished at the station due to an intercompany communication breakdown regarding commitments made.

The procedural changes were implemented by August 1, 1981.
