In the letter dated December 18, 1979, from Mr. O. D. Parr (NRC) to Mr. W. L. Proffitt (Vepco), Vepco was informed that the issue of guide thimble tube wear was resolved for the first cycle of North Anna Unit 2 provided that surveillance results were provided to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
The issue would be resolved for the subsequent cycles provided that the surveillance results confirmed the Westinghouse analyses.
By the letter from C. M. Stallings to you dated January 22, 1980, Vepco committed to provide such data.
Enclosed are the results of the guide thimble surveillance program conducted at Salem Unit 1 as part of a cooperative owner's group agreement.
This fulfills the requirements of the North Anna Power Station, Unit No. 2 Facility Operating License Condition 2.C.(15).(a).
