NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has issued Amendment -No. 4 to Facility Operating License '_No *. DPR-~5, issued to Public Service Electric and Gas Company, Philadelphia Electric Coq>any, Delmarva Power and Light Company and Atlantic.City Electric Company {the licensees),
which revised i i.cense conditions for operation of the Salem Nuclear:*:.~:,.-

Generating Station, Unit No. 2 (the facility) located in Sillem County,-
New-Jersey. The amendment is effective as of the date of issuance.
The amendment revises the required completion dates for certain
. TMI-related items in the areas of Post-Accident Sampling,-Additional Accident Monitoring Instrumentation, and Inadequate Core Cooling Instruments.
The application for the amendment complies with the standards and*
requirements of the.Atomic. Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the

Commission~s. rules and regulations. The Commission has made appropriate findi_ngs as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations in 1 O CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the l icens~!ameridment.
