PROCEDURE FOR OPERATION REACTOR VESSEL HEAD VENT SYSTEM NO. l AND 2 UNIT SALEM NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION DOCKET NO. 50-272 AND 50-311 This letter transmits to you, in its enclosure, PSE&G's pro-cedure for operation of the Reactor Vessel Head Vent System, as required by NUREG-0737, Item II.B.l.
This procedure has been developed according to the guide-lines provided by Westinghouse Owners Group letter WOG 191, dated July 20, 1981.
Following NRC approval, this procedure will be incorporated in the appropriate station procedures manual.
Until this is accomplished, the reactor vessel head vent system will remain isolated.
