EMERGENCY PROCEDURES AND TRAINING FOR STATION BLACKOUT EVENTS NO. 1 AND 2 UNITS SALEM GENERATING STATION DOCKET NOS. 50-272 AND 50-311 This is in reply to your letter of September 18, 1981, concerning our replies on the subject of Emergency Procedures and Training for Station Blackout Events (Generic Letter 81-04).

We are reviewing our procedures for their application and inclusion in the Loss of All AC Power procedure.

In addition to these pro-cedures, our review includes plant operations with a view towards possible loss of all AC and the necie~sary precautions and steps to be*taken to mitigate *the effects of this type of occurrence.

This procedure will be *written using the Westinghouse Owners Group generic guidelines on the loss of all AC power as a base.

We will have this procedure implemented by December 31, 1981.

The Loss of All AC Power procedure will be disseminated to the operators through the e~isting operator notification procedure and incorporated into the formal requalification training.
