We have reviewed your letter of August 18, 1981 and the following are our responses to the items requested in enclosure 1:
Ttem 1 A change has been incorporated into Part 3 of the Reactor Engineering Manual, "Shutdown Margin Calculation".
The change consisted of additions to two sections in the form of a note stating "When Shutdown Banks are inserted, and during RHR flow with Reactor Coolant Pump off, Keff must be ~ 0. 95.
11 Item 2 Analysis of the possibility of an inadvertent boron dilution at Salem is in progress.
This analysis will take sixty (60) days to complete.
At the conclusion of the analysis, we will submit a supplemental response with our findings.
