Licensing Branch 3 Division of Licensing POST-TMI REQUIREMENTS FOR THE EMERGENCY RESPONSE FACILITIES SALEM GENERATING STATION UNITS NO. 1 AND 2 DOCKET NO. 50-272 AND 50-311 By letter of April 20, 1981, we requested an extension to August 1, 1981 of the requirement to submit a Facility Conceptual Design Description for the Emergency Response Facilities for Salem Generating Station.
The purpose of this letter is to confirm a telephone conversation on July 28, 1981 between Mr. Steve Ramos and Mr. Peter A. Moeller, in which Mr. Ramos stated that we shOuld delay our submittal of the Emergency Response Facility information pending our receipt of a new NUREG which was about to be published.
The NUREG would describe the evaluation criteria which would be applied to the conceptual design submittals.
Mr.
Moeller stated that upon receipt of the NUREG, an evaluation would be made of the acceptability of our present material and then determine a new submittal date based on the time required to modify the material to meet the evaluation criteria.
