IE BULLETIN 7*9-0lB Supplement No. 3 ENVIRONMENTAL QUALIFICATION OF CLASS IE EQUIPMENT

IE Bulletin 79-0lB, Supplement No. 3, requires in paragraph (l)b that the *qualification information for equipment requlred to achieve and maintain a Cold Shutdown be submitted not lat~r than February 1., 1981.
PSE&G respectfully requests permission to delay this submittal until February 9,. _1981.
The requested deray is needed because we were unable to coordinate the activities of our consultant in sufficient time to permit a proper in-house compilation and review of th,e developed data.
On Thursday, January 29, 1981, we discussed this proposed delay with Mr. *A. Finkel, Principal Reviewer, Region I, IEB 79-0lB, and he concurred with our request.
Since our-*preliminary review of the data to be submitted indicates that the equipment is indeed environmentally qua.l.ified and the delay is of short duration, there will. be no compromise of the level protection of the hea;lth. and safety of the public.
Therefore, we believe th.at it is appropriate that our request for this delay be granted.
