Dear Mr. Schneider:

This is to confirm a telephone call between Mr~ E. A. Liden of your staff and Mr. W. J. Ross, Project Manager for Salem Un-it 1 on Januaay 26, 1981.

Two individuals from Los Alamos Scientific laboratory, who are under con-tract to the NRC, will arrive at the Salem site pn January 27, 1981, to perform an engineering analysis for the purpose of identifying oital equipment. This analysis is part of our review of your physical security program and will require appro1iE11tely three days to complete.

The analysis will require that these gentlemen have access to both plant information and ateas. Additionally, the assistance of one person who is highly knowledge-able of plant layour and construction will be required for the entire period.

Information that you consider to be proprietary, which will be acquired by the contractor personnel during this visit, will be afforded protection- -

from disclosure in accordance with standard NRC pvucedures.
