October 9, 1980 Enclosed are the documents in ll\\Y files that pertain to the implementation of IE Bulletins Nos. 79-02, 79-07 and 79-14 at Salem Unit No. l. The attachments to Mr. Schwencer 1s letter of July 24, 1979 and to Mr. Schneider 1s letter of September 21, 1979 (related to IE Bulletin 79-07) consist entirely of computer print outs of benchmark problems using the PIPDYN II code.
In my opinion these attachments would be of little use to you, and, since they consist of several hundred sheets, they have not been included in the enclosures.
I am also enclosing a copy of the October 30, 1979 letter from Schwencer to Librizzi and the attached Amendment No. 20 to the Salem 1 Operating License.
This amendment addresses all of the safety related items that had to be reviewed before the NRR approved start up of the plant in the second fuel cycle.
