REQUEST FOR AMENDMENT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FACILITY OPERATING LICENSES DPR-70 AND DPR-75 SALEM GENERATING STATION UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 DOCKET NOS. 50-272 AND 50-311 On March 17, 1980, we submitted a request to amend our Facility Operating License DPR-70 to permit a lowering of the individual cell minimum voltages on the 125 Volt and 28 Volt batteries to 2.13 Volts.

Attached is a letter from CD, Batteries Divison, which gives the manufacturer's concurrence with this voltage.

This information has been requested by Mr. William J. Ross, Project Manager -

Salem 1, to support the amendment request.

Subsequent to our original March request, Salem Unit No. 2 has been issued Facility Operating License DPR-75.

This Request for Amendment is applicable to Unit No. 2 in exactly the same manner as Unit No. 1.

In accordance with the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended and the regulations thereunder, we hereby request that this Request for Amendment be applied to Facility Operating License DPR-75 for Salem Generating Station, Unit No. 2.

In accordance with 10CFR 170.22, a check for the amount of $400 is enclosed.
