Licitra of your staff on April 11, 1980.

Mr. Licitra for-warded a question from Commissioner Gilinsky regarding the availability and adequacy of procedural guidance for the shift supervisor of an unaffected reactor when the companion unit is involved in an emergency situation.

PSE&G wishes to advise you that procedures will be estab-lished at the Salem Nuclear Generating Station, Units 1 and 2, to address the situations as described above.

These procedures will be approved for station use prior to initial criticality of Salem Unit 2.
