SINGLE DROPPED ROD EVENTS NO. 2 UNIT SALEM NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION DOCKET NO. 50-311 We are in receipt of your letter dated February 12; 1980; advising us of an interim solution for the single dropped rod event that has been agreed upon between Westinghouse and the NRC staff.
PSE&G will implement the interim solution as requested; such that (a) the plant may operate in manual control from 0 to 100% power with no changes in the current rod insertion limits, and (b) the plant may operate in automatic control from 0 to 90% power with no changes in the current rod in-sertion limits: above 90% power the D control rod bank would have to be withdrawn to 215 steps or greater.
