NRC REQUIREMENTS AUXILIARY FEEDWATER SYSTEMS SALEM GENERATING STATION UNIT NO. 1 DOCKET NO. 50-272 In our letter to you on November 1, 1979, responding to your letter on Auxiliary Feedwater Systems of September 21, 1979, we committed under item 7 that we would meet the AFW pump test requirement by January 1, 1980.
Due to the extended outage of Salem 1, it does not appear at this time that the unit will be in the mode which will permit the testing of the steam driven pump by January 1.
We, therefore, revise our commitment to perform the test at the earliest appropriate time after the unit returns to power operation.
