Dear Mr. Schwencer:
SECONDARY WATER CHEMISTRY NRC REQUEST FOR LICENSE CONDITION SALEM GENERATING STATION UNIT NO. 1 DOCKET NO. 50-272 October 26, 1979 On August 16, 1979, we received your letter requesting that we submit a proposed amendment to our license, deleting* our exist-ing requirement to propose secondary water chemistry technical specifications and incorporate your enclosed Model License Con-dition.
During th~ pe~iod of time between receipt of your letter and now, we have had conversations with Messrs. Ross and Grotenhtiis of your staff, concerning alte~nate methods of issuing this modification to license.
A final determination was relayed to us by Mr. Ross on September 27, stating that we should follow your letter.
This letter is to inform you that we are presently processing th~ requested license change through our normal review process and that a submittal will be* made by December 1,.1979.
