OFFICE OF INSPECTION AND ENFORCEMENT INSPECTION REPORT NUMBER.50-311/79-03 STATUS OF OPEN ITEMS NO. 2 UNIT SALEM GENERATING STATION The above Inspection Report identified twenty-five (25) open items associated with the proposed quality assurance program's implementing procedures which Public Service Electric and Gas Company intends to use upon receipt of the operating license.

These items, including committed actions and commitment dates, were discussed in the "b" section of paragraphs 2 through 11 of Inspection Report Number 50-311/79-03.

This is to advise you that we are in compliance with all of the committed actions and dates, except for the items described below.

In each case, the revised completion date has been shown.

Item 311/79-03-13: The Technical Document Room, originally scheduled for completion by August 1,1979 has been rescheduled for completion prior to August 30,1979 .

Mr. Eldon J. Brunner 7/25/79 Item 311/79-03-25: The increased workload brought about by the influx of recent NRC Bulletins, and the impact of Three Mile Island has required the completion date for the micro-filming of engineering records to be revised from August 1,1979 to December 31,1979.
