IE BULLETIN 79-07 SCHEDULE FOR REEVALUATION NO. 2 UNIT SALEM NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION DOCKET NO. 50-311 We are in receipt of your letter of July 23, 1979, setting forth seismic stress analysis requirements for safety-related equipment, as identified in IE Bulletin 79-07.
In response to your letter, we wish to inform you that it is our intent to complete, and submit for your review, the reevaluation of all seismic Category I large bore piping (greater than 2" nominal pipe diameter) and any small bore piping (2" and less in nominal pipe diameter) essential to the safe shut down of the plant, in a time frame such that approval can be granted within 90 days after issuance of the operating license and before Salem Unit 2 exceeds 30% power.
Additionally, it is our intent to complete the reevaluation of all remaining small bore piping for your review such that approval can be granted within 150 days of issuance of the operating license.
Further, it is our intent that all required hardware changes for both large and small bore piping systems that result from this reevaluation will be completed by this time.
