NRC IE BULLETIN NO. 79-11 NO. 1 AND 2 UNITS SALEM GENERATING STATION Ju:ly 3, 1979 In response to *your l~tter of May 22, 1979 transmitting NRC IE Bulletin. No. 79-11, which was received on May 25, 1979, we offer th~ following results of our investigation:

DB*-so or DB:-75 ACB' s In Safety-Related Systems:

Salem Units 1 and 2 do not utilize any of the subject breakers with overcurrent devices in safety-related circuits.

No action required, since breakers are non safety-related.

End caps were inspected on the non safety-related breakers with a 5X magnifying glass.

No signs of cracking or physical abuse was observed.

No action required.
