Dear Mr. Grier:

NRC IE BULLETIN NO. 79-09 No. 1 AND 2 UNITS SALEM GENERATING STATION In response to your letter of April 17, 1979, transmitting NRC IE Bulletin No. 79-09 which was received on April 20, 1979, we have investigated this matter with respect to applicability to Salem No. 1 and 2 Units.

The following are the results of our*investigation:

PSE&G Engineering has evaluated the subject bulletin and has determined that Salem Generating Station Units No. 1 and No. 2 do not utilize General Electric type AK-2 Circuit Breakers in any application.

In addition, there are no future plans that would make use of the subject GE Circuit Breakers.

If you require additional information, we.will be pleased to discuss it with you.
