NRC IE BULLETIN NO. 79-10 NO. 1 UNIT SALEM GENERATING STATION*
May 23, 1979 In response to your letter of May 11, 1979, transmitting NRC IE Bulletin No. 79-10 which was received on May 15, 1979, we have investigated this matter with respect to applicability to Salem No.* 1 Unit.
The following are the results of our investigation:
Table No. 1 of Bulletin No. 79-10 has been filled out as requested and is included as Attachment No. 1 to this letter.
It lists complete data for the three requalif ication exam periods which have transpired since Salem Unit No. 1 received its operating license with the following qualifications:
- 1.
Requalification Exam No. 1 was not applicable to operators because none were licensed at the time the exam was administered.
- 2.
Requalification Exam No. 3 data is incomplete because the Salem annual examination is administered such that one-quarter of the 12 exam sections are given every 3 months.
Only the first quarter of Exam No. 3 has been administered at this point in time.
However, complete data has been entered for the first quarter.
- 3.
Items No. 3C and 3D of Table No. 1 are not applicable because no formal oral examination is given in the Requalification Program at Salem.
