Dear Mr. Grier:
NRC IE BULLETIN NO.78-12B ATYPICAL WELD MATERIAL IN REACTOR PRESSURE VESSEL WELDS NO. 1 AND 2 UNITS SALEM GENERATING STATION By letter of March 19, 1979, PSE&G was notified by the Salem NSSS Contractor, Westinghouse, that the information required to formulate the response to the subject bulletin will not be available until September, 1979.
This is essentially due to the volµrne of information to be compiled.
It is therefore requested that an extension to the response due date be authorized to October 31, 1979.
