DON'T STOP BEING ALARMEDI Today we solemnly mark the 7th anniversary of the nuclear disaster at Fukushima. We pause to remember the people of Japan who continue to suffer from the impact of the accident. The immoral collusion of government, industry, and regulators was the cause of the catastrophe. In order to avoid a similar fate here in New England, we must continue to speak out and demand our right to safety. Our state and federal officials have identified the dangers but not called for immediate shutdown of Entergy's Pilgrim reactor which remains one step from federally mandated shutdown. In lieu of a vigil today, on Monday, we are asking you to please call or email Senator Markey, Senator Warren, Representative Keating, Governor Baker, and AG Healey, to enforce our right to safety and demand the Nuclear Regulatory Commission revoke the operating license of Pilgrim.
