SUBJECT:
NRC INSPECTION REPORT NO. 50-255/98011 (DRS)
Dear Mr. Palmisano:
On June 4, 1998, the NRC completed an inspection at your Palisades Nuclear Generating
Plant. The enclosed report presents the results of the inspection.
The purpose of the inspection was to review corrective actions for previously identified issues.
The inspector concluded that your staff was effective in implementing corrective actions to
notices of violation, inspection follow up items, unresolved items and licensee event reports. In
addition, the engineering staff was knowledgeable, involved in the corrective action process and
effective in the resolution of technical issues. No violations of NRC requirements were
identified.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and the
enclosed report will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
We will gladly discuss any questions you have concerning this inspection.
