  • TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS CHANGE REQUEST - ELECTRICAL POWER SYSTEMS -

COMPLETION OF COMMITTED ACTION On November 21, -1997, Palisades submitted a response to a Request for Additional Information associated with our Electrical Power Systems Technical Specifications chang~ request (TAC M94378). In that letter, Palisades committed to the following action:

By April 30, 1998, Consumers Energy will perform a documented evaluation of the adequacy of existing plant procedures concerning a loss of load scenario when the Palisades emergency diesel generator is paralleled to the grid. Plant procedures will be revised if determined necessary by the evaluation.

That committed action has been completed. The evaluation has been completed and documented under Palisades Action Item Record A-CMT-97-112. That evaluation concluded that several operating and test procedures could be enhanced with more explicit guidance for the subject situation. Those procedures have been revised to include that additional guidance.
