NRC Operator Licensing Examination Report 50-255/97302(DRS) dated June 20, 1997, identified concerns in the cover letter regarding adequacy of examination security and examination preparation and administration. The cover letter also identified that candidate performance was less than proficient during routine evolutions and in understan?jng_ of system interaction and i~tegrated plant response.
Several aqtici.ns are being -taken 'to address the identified issues. These actions will be described in detail and discussed at a meeting between Mr. Melvyn Leach, Chief Operations Branch, Region Ill, and Messrs. Kurt Haas, Palisades Training Manager and Ernest Chatfield, Palisades Operations Training Supervisor. The meeting, which is currently being scheduled, will take place at the NRC, Region Ill offices.
