DOCKET 50-255 - LICENSE DPR PALISADES PLANT WITHDRAWAL OF BORIC ACID PUMP RELIEF REQUEST On April 4, 1996, Consumers Power Company submitted Palisades lnservice Testing Program Pump Relief f3equest No. 10 since a field calibration was required on the new instrumentation installed to perform the required tests on the boric a.cid pumps. This field calibration was expected within a short time after the submittal of the relief request.
The required tests could not be done until the calibration was successfully performed.
On May 17, 1996, the NRC granted relief for the short period of time until the calibration was completed. The calibration has now been completed and the required surveillance tests are now being done per OM-1987. Pump Relief Request No. 10 is therefore being withdrawn as it is no longer required.
