Dear Dr. Bereson:
This e-mail is to provide an update on the petition for rulemaking (PRM) date July 14, 2017 (PRM-34-7) that was submitted to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). The NRC published a notice in the Federal Register on November 9, 2016 (81 FR 78732),
informing the public that the NRC had accepted and docketing your petition for rulemaking.
This notice also requested public comments on your PRM and the public comment period closed on January 23, 2017 with 13 comments received. The NRC is currently considering the merits of your petition along with the public comments received.
You can access the public comments received on your PRM on the Federal rulemaking Web site, http://www.regulations.gov, by searching on Docket ID NRC-2016-0182.
