  • U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission ATIN: Document Control Desk Washington, DC 20555 DOCKET 50-255 - LICENSE DPR PALISADES PLANT REACTOR VESSEL FLUENCE METHODOLOGY On January 15, 1998, and February 23, 1998, meetings were held with the NRC to discuss the Palisades reactor vessel fluence determination methodology. The next meeting to further discuss the fluence determination methodology is planned for May 1, 1998. The attachment to this letter provides information that will be presented at the May 1, 1998 meeting regarding the methodology used by Consumers Energy (Westinghouse) to determine the best estimate fluence for the Palisades reactor vessel.

The information being submitted with this letter, in combination with previously docketed material, listed below, supports the use of Palisades specific dosimetry data to determine the best estimate reactor vessel fluence for the 10CFR50.61 screening criterion determinations.
