Dear Mr. Kobetz,
As an update to the response to Question 4 of the Request for Additional Information concern-ing CAL 97-7-001, Sierra Nuclear Corporation(SNC) submits the attached Revision 2 of calculation package CPC-06Q-301, titled: Allowable Flaw Size Definition for VSC-24 Dry Storage Cask Structural Lid to Shell Weld.
The calculation has been* revised and now includes structural analysis based on Charpy impact and fracture toughness material test results obtained from coupons welded by Arkansas Nuclear One, Palisades and Point Beach
- Nuclear Plant. The coupon material was welded using plant specific weld materials and procedures..
