REVIEW OF REVISION.S TO PORTIONS OF THE PALISADES NUCLEAR PLANT'S EMERGENCY PLAN RECEIVED IN FEBRUARY 1998
Dear Mr. Palmisano:
During February 1998, Region Ill received revisions to the following portions of the Emergency Plan: Revision 7 to Section 3; Revision 23 to Section 4; Revision 8 to Section 6; Revision 6 to Appendix A; Revision 7 to Appendix D; and Revision 1 to Appendix I. These revisions were submitted under the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(q).
Based on your determination~ that the changes in the above revisions do not decrease the effectiveness of your Emergency Plan, and that it continues to meet the standards of 10 CFR 50.47(b) and the requirements of Appendix E to Part 50, NRC approval is not required. Our initial review of these changes indicates them to be in accordance with 1 O CFR 50.54( q).
Implementation of these changes will be subject to inspection to confirm that they have not decreased the effectiveness of your Emergency Plan.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's Regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
