NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-255/97017(DRS)
Dear Mr. Palmisano:
On December 11, 1997, the NRC completed a follow-up inspection of your implementation of
1 O CFR 50.65, "Requirements for Monitoring the Effectiveness of Maintenance at Nuclear
Power Plants," (the maintenance rule) at the Palisades Nuclear Generating Plant. The
enclosed report presents the results of that inspection.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified. We concluded that actions you
implemented properly addressed all open items from our Maintenance Rule Baseline
Inspection, and that your maintenance rule program continued to meet all requirements .
. In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its
enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
