[External_Sender] eRAI 9049 Supplemental Response clarification and related confirmation of eRAI 8971 Question 03.08.04-14 content Prosanta/Greg, As discussed during our public call regarding eRAI 9049 Supplemental Response on December 5, 2017, the NuScale response to RAI 8971 Question 03.08.04-14 will provide the lateral soil pressures, including dynamic soil pressures corresponding to SSI and SSSI analyses, applicable to the embedded exterior walls of the buildings. The response will provide requested clarification on whether these pressures are based on the envelope of SSI and SSSI analysis cases, and include Living FSAR markups of Section 3.8.4, as required, to specify the magnitude of the loads and provide pressure distributions with depth of the bounding soil pressures considered in the design of the embedded exterior walls of the buildings.
The response submittal date for RAI 8971 Question 03.08.04-14 is April 30, 2018 as has been previously communicated.
