Rogers Plant Safety and Licensing Director DOCKET 50-255 - LICENSE DPR PALISADES PLANT - NOTIFICATION OF INTENT TO SUBMIT STANDARD TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE PALISADES PLANT We are writing to notify the NRC of our intent to submit a Technical Specifications change request {TSCR) which will upgrade Palisades Technical Specifications and their bases to emulate, as closely as possible, the Standard Technical Specifications for Combustion Engineering Plants, NUREG 1432 (STS).
It is our current intent to submit the TSCR section by section to shorten the overall preparation and review process.
Preparation of sections 1.0, Use and Application, 3.0, Applicability, and 3.8, Electrical Power Systems, are currently being prepared.
Our initial schedule is for these first sections to be submitted early in the fall of 1994, and for the TSCR submittal to be complete within about 18 months.
We will keep the NRC staff informed of schedule changes which may occur as the project progresses.
