RESPONSE TO NRC BULLETIN 90-01, "LOSS OF FILL OIL IN TRANSMITTERS MANUFACTURED BY ROSEMOUNT" - PALISADES PLANT (TAC NO. M85420)
By letter dated March 5, 1993, you provided a response to NRC Bulletin 90-01, Supplement 1, for the Palisades Plant.
Your response stated that you had reviewed the Bulletin supplement and had determined.that no additional actions are necessary for Palisades because of previous actions taken in response to the original Bulletin.
As pr*eviously documented in your July 17, 1990, and January 10, *1991 letters to NRC, th.ese actions included (1) confirming that no Rosemount transmitters from the lots identified in the Bulletin are installed at the Palisades Plant, (2) identifying 20 other Rosemount transmitters not from the suspect lots that were being used in safety-related systems, and (3) for the 20 nonsuspect Rosemount transmitter, either the sensor module or the entire transmitters was replaced during 1990.
You further confirmed that because no suspect models of the transmitters are used at Palisades, an.
enhanced surveillance program was unnecessary.
The staff has reviewed your response and finds that you have satisfied the requested actions of NRC Bulletin 90~01, Supplement 1, for Palisades. This completes the NRC staff's act.ivities associated with TAC No. M85420.
Further NRC review, if any, will be performed by inspection or audit.
