On OctOb,er '12, 1993, 111embers of 'the NRC staff met with representatives of Consumer~.Power Company (CPCo) and Combustion EnUineering Corporatiori to discuss *the recent Palisades pressurizer (PZR) power~operated relief valve (PORV) safe-end ~tack, the licensee's root cause*~nalyses~ and cor~ective.

- and high yield stress material, combined with a*telatively low temperature post-forging.heat treatmeht, and an aggressive steam water envi~onmerit, it bec_ame vulnerable to primary. water stress corrosion.cracking.
