SHUTDOWN COOLING TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS CHANGE REQUEST REPLACEMENT PAGES Enclosed please find proposed Palisades Shutdown Cooling (SDC) Technical Specifications pages altered to reflect Palisades Operations Department usage.
The word "loop," when used with respect to the Shutdown Cooling System, has been replaced with the word "train." This usage is typical of current Palisades Operating Procedure usage. Operators, at Palisades, typically use "trains" when referring to the redundant parts of safety systems such as Shutdown Cooling or Safety Injection, while using "loops" when referring to the two major divisions of the Primary Coolant System.
The enclosed proposed Technical Specifications pages have been revised to reflect this usage.
The changes do not affect the requirements of these pages or the associated no significant hazards analyses which was submitted previously.
