Franklin Research Center Technical Evaluation Report TER-C5506-422 dated August 6, 1986 recommended further analysis of the ability of the Auxiliary Building roof to withstand the extreme environmental loads pertinent to flat roofs at the Palisades Plant, simultaneously considering contributions from snow, rain on snow and drift. The recommended analysis has recently been completed as EA-ETW-91-2 (Attachment 1) and shows the roof over the spent fuel pool (that part of the Auxiliary Building roof that is of concern) can support the rain-on-snow extreme weather loads considered by SEP Topic III.7.B.
