Gentlemen:
This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. J. K. Heller
and others of this office, and by Mr. D. L. Waters, a consultant to this
office, during the period of February 19 through April 5, 1991, of activities
at the Palisades Nuclear Generating Plant authorized by NRC Facility Operating
License No. DPR-20 and* to the discussion of our findings with yourself and
others of your ~taff during and at th~ conclusion of the inspection.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during
the inspection *. * Within these areas, the inspection ~onsisted of a selective
examinati6n of procedures and representative records, observations, and.
interviews.with personnel.
No violations of NRC requirements were identifi~d during the cour$~ of this
inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of
this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC
Public Document Room.*
