UNITED STATES NUCLEAR-REGULATORY COMMISSION CONSUMERS POWER COMPANY DOCKET NO. 50-255 7590-01 NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL-OF AMENDMENT TO FACILITY-OPERATING-LICENSE The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Conunission (the Conmission) has granted the request of* Consumers Power Company (the licensee) to withdraw its April 11, 1990, application for proposed amendment to Provisional Operating License No. DPR-20 for the Palisades Plant,

,focated-in. Van Buren Counfy;.Michigan.

The proposed amendment wo~ld have revised the Technical Specifications Section 3.3.1.b by_relaxing for a*limited time, the boron concentration required f~r Safety Injection.. Tank T-82A.

Additionally, a temporary surveillance requirement was proposed to be added to Table 4.2.1, Item 5.

The Commission had previously issued a Notice of Consideration of Issuance of Amendment published in the FEDERAL *REGISTER on April 23, 1990 (55 FR 15306).

However, by letter dated December 5, 1990, the licensee withdrew the proposed change.

For further details with respect to this action, see the application for amendment -dated April 11, 1990, and the licensee's letter-*dated December 5, 1990, which withdrew the application for license amendment.
