GB Slade General Manager RESPONSE TO GENERIC LETTER 89 REQUEST FOR ACTION RELATED TO RESOLUTION OF UNRESOLVED SAFETY ISSUE A-47 {TAC NO. 74974) - ADDITIONAL INFORMATION NRC letter dated October 3, 1990 states that the NRC does not agree with Consumers Power Company's March 20, 1990 response to Generic Letter 89-19, suggests action to provide additional steam generator overfill protection, and requests a response within 45 days.
Consumers Power Company (CPC) is working with the Combustion Engineering Owners Group (CEOG) to justify our position on this matter and will attend a scheduled November 20, 1990 CEOG meeting with the NRC where the need for additional steam generator overfill protection will be further evaluated.
Therefore, CPC, with the concurrence of the NRC Palisades Project Manager, postpones its response to the October 3, 1990 NRC letter to within 30 days after the CEOG/NRC meeting.
