CYCLE 9 THROUGH END OF LIFE REACTOR VESSEL FLUENCE ANALYSIS REPORT SCHEDULE As indicated in our April 3, 1989 submittal, reevaluation has been ongoing regarding the fuel management plan to be used in Cycle 9 because of the possibility of replacing steam generators during the EOC 8 refueling outage.
As a result, the evaluation of the final Cycle 9 loading pattern may be delayed until late 1989.
Preliminary work performed on Cycle 9 fuel management indicates that quarter-core symmetric neutronics modeling will be necessary to maximize cycle length while minimizing fluence.
Because of the delay in determining the final Cycle 9 loading pattern and the fact that current pressure vessel neutron flux calculational models will need to be modified to reflect the quarter-core symmetric loading pattern, the submittal of the Cycle 9 to end of life vessel fluence analysis report may be delayed until May 1, 1990.
