AUTHORIZATION TO REPRODUCE QUALIFICATION TEST REPORT FOR ASCO SOLENOID VALVES Consumers Power Company letter dated July 7, 1988 transmitted additional information requested by NRC regarding 10CFR50.49, Environmental Qualification of Electrical Equipment Important to Safety for Nuclear Power Plants.
The submittal contained a test report that included a statement. that the infor-mation could not be reproduced without authorization from Automatic Switch Company.
We have contacted the Automatic Switch Company (ASCO) and have received their written permission for NRC to reproduce their Report AQR-67368/Rev. 0 as necessary for docketing.
ASCO understands that their report will be reproduced for filing in the public document room.

ification of Automatic Switch Co (ASCO) Catalog YP-1 Solenoid Valves for Safety-Related Applications in Nuclear Power Generating Stations." The NRC specifically requested this report to facilitate their review of solenoid valve applications in potentially harsh environmental areas in the Palisades Plant. Since the report was sent aa part 0£ a fonnal information submittal to the NRC, the NlC will file the submittal in their public document room.
No further distribution of this report is e~pected.
During our telephone conversation, I indicated that Consumers Power Company
