VISUAL INSPECTION OF SECONDARY SIDE OF STEAM GENERATOR Consumers Power Company responded to the NRC staff recommended action in Generic Letter 85-02 by committing to perform a one-time visual inspection of the Steam Generator internals.
The NRC recommended the inspection be performed for the purpose of prevention and detection of loose parts.
The inspection was completed during the most recent Palisades Maintenance outage (December 1987 thru January 1988) in conjunction with the eddy current examination of the steam generators.
The results of the inspection are available at the plant site. All loose parts found during the inspection were appropriately*dispositioned.
The completion of the aforementioned inspection completes Consumers Power Company's outstanding action for Generic Letter 85-02.
