INSERVICE INSPECTION -
ASME B&PV CODE SECTION XI UPDATE REQUIREMENT PER 10CFR50.55a Consumers Power Company letter of May 26, 1987 identified a deviation in the Palisades Inservice Inspection Program ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code update requirement of 10CFR50.55a.
To comply with the requirement we committed to update the Palisades ISI program in early 1988.
However, we incorrectly stated we would adopt the 1983 Code edition through the winter of 1984 addenda.
10CFR50.55a approves the use of the 1983 Code edition through the Summer 1983 addenda.
Consumers Power Company wishes to amend our May 26, 1987 letter to be consist-ent with the requirements of 10CFR50.55a.
Accordingly, the revised Palisades Inservice Inspection Program to be submitted in early 1988 will be updated to the 1983 code edition through the Summer 1983 a~da.
