SUMMARY
OF MEETING HELD ON MARCH 31, 1986, TO DISCUSS 10 CFR 50, APPENDIX R, UPCOMING INSPECTION FOR PALISADES PLANT Following a meeting regarding Appendix R issues for Big Rock Point, the following people were in attendance to discuss the upcoming Appendix R
- inspection for Palisades.
NRC D. Kubicki, NRR R. Perfetti, NRR J. Holmes, RIII J. Ul i e, RII I H. Thomas, Brookhaven National Lab.
T. Fresco, Brookhaven National Lab.
Consumers Power Company R. Krich R. Smedley W. Trubilowicz Mr. Joe Ulie, reactor inspector from Region III, provided Consumers Power with an acceptable example of a safe shutdown package to examine.
He explained that thii was not necessarily the exact format to be used, but rather that it was.an examp 1 e of a package that had been accepted.
Dennis Kubicki introduced himself as the Appendix R reviewer.and explained the types bf things that he would be looking for while inspecting identified fire protection areas.
Anthony Fresco and Harvey Thomas, research engineers from Brookhaven National Lab., requested the following types of information for the audit:
up-to-date piping and instrumentation diagrams, cable schedule~. system descriptions, and identification of redundant trains.
