REVISION 1 TO THE FINAL SAFETY ANALYSIS REP9RT (FSAR) UPDATE Russell B. DeWitt Vice President Nuclear Operations In accordance with 10CFR50. 71 (e) (3) (ii)' enclosed are (1) original and twelve (12) copies of revision 1 to the Palisades Plant FSAR Update.
This revision is submitted on a replacement-page basis an4 include,s a list of effective pages of the FSAR Update following page replacement. Replacement pages.-
containing revisions include a line vertically drawri in the margin adjacent to the portion actually changed and a change number, ie, "Rev; l"~ in the lower right-hand corner.
The remaining revision 0 replacement pages resulted from the shifting of text *. -
To the best of my knowledge, *this revision accu~ately incorporates all changes made to the Palisades Plant or to the Palisades Plant procedures described in the FSAR, and all the other applicable information containe~ in licenf'!ing

The enclosed revision does not include revisions to Chapter 14, "Safety Analysis", Chapter 5, Section 5.6, "Dynamic Effects of Pipe Rupture," and to the organization charts in Chapter 12, "Conduct of Operations".
These revisions are currently in progress and will be submitted by December 31, 1985. In addition, figure 10-2 Sh.IA, which was inadvertently omitted from revision 0 of the FSAR Update, will also be submitted by December 31, 1985.
