SEP TOPIC XV-2 "SPECTRUM OF STEAM PIPING FAILURES INSIDE AND OUTSIDE CONTAINMENT (PWR)"

Consumers Power Company submittal dated February 28, 1985 indicated that an error was still presen't in the software that is being used to perform sequence

  • quantification relative to the Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) and Cost-Benefit Analysis on the actual safety significance of the two-steam generator-blowdown event.

We also indicated that we did not have a firm date as to when the final report on this subject would be submitted to the NRC.

At the present time Consumers Power Company has determined that the error in the computer code has been corrected and that our commitment for submitting a final report on this issue is presently planned for mid-May 1985.
